Institute of Criminology

We’re excited to ask our alumni to support us with enhancing engagement and inspiring prospective students, current students and fellow graduates.  Find out about opportunities to engage and help the Institute here or contact us at alumni@crim.cam.ac.uk with your own ideas.

Career Profiles

We know anecdotally that you’re doing interesting, fulfilling, and important work across wide-ranging sectors. But we need your help to develop a deeper understanding and give our current and future students and graduates greater insights into the many careers and paths our cherished alumni pursue after their studies. We are eager to learn about your unique path.

We’d like to create a series of short alumni career profiles on our website. This would briefly detail your career pathway and what studying at the Institute of Criminology meant for you.  Our short survey should take around ten minutes to complete and no information will be shared publicly without your permission.   To complete the survey click the relevant link below:

Gifting Time or Resources

Other ways you can get involved include:

  • gifting your time to provide careers advice to a group of our current students
  • be a guest lecturer at a seminar or event
  • supporting the Institute by providing a venue for a future alumni event

You may have other suggestions about how you’d like to get more involved, contact us at alumni@crim.cam.ac.uk to discuss opportunities

Alumni Stories

More in depth than the career profiles, our alumni stories offer an insight into former students life journeys and the many varied directions they have taken after completing their studies

Our Alumni love to know what their peers have done since graduating and your journey can also inspire prospective and current students and illustrate what a great place the Institute is to study.

Let us know if you’re willing to be interviewed for an alumni story.  The process involves an online interview with a member of our Communications Teams who will develop an article.  We always seek your approval of the final content before publication and ask for a photo if you're willing to provide one.   We publish the stories in the alumni section of our website and subject to space in the alumni newsletter.
