Biography

Brian is a PhD Student at the Justice and Society Research Centre. He holds an MSc in Social and Public Communication with Distinction from London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a BA in Journalism with First Class Honours from The University of the West Indies. Prior to doctoral studies, he worked in public affairs and journalism. Brian sits on the Executive Council of the LSE Alumni Association.

Research

Brian’s PhD research examines how news coverage shapes and is shaped by experiences of (in)justice, with keen focus on families bereaved by homicide in Jamaica. He is supervised by Caroline Lanskey and his research is jointly supported by the University of Cambridge, Cambridge Trust and Trinity College.
