with Professors Alison Liebling, Shadd Maruna, Lesley McAra

Editors Alison Liebling, Shadd Maruna and Lesley McAra are delighted to invite you to the celebratory launch of the 7th edition of the Oxford Handbook of Criminology, published on 21 September 2023. The Handbook involves over 85 leading academics exploring relevant theory, cutting-edge research, policy developments, and current debates in Criminology. This is the most substantial revision yet, with all chapters undergoing significant review, and newly commissioned chapters including victimology, hate crime, desistance, cybercrime, atrocity crimes, convict criminology, security and smart cities, prison abolitionism, comparative criminology, sex offending, and network criminology. Come and join us, to help us mark the occasion. Many chapter authors will be present both in person and online. OUP, the editors, and some chapter authors, will say a few words. There will be room for questions, answers and discussion, and a reception to follow. Copies will also be available (at a discount) on the day.

Date:
Monday, 23 October, 2023 - 17:00 to 18:30
Event location:
Seminar Rooms B3 & B4, Institute of Criminology, University of Cambridge
