Institute of Criminology

We are pleased to announce the fourth run of our annual PhD conference, this year themed ‘Critical crossroads? A criminology that confronts’. The conference will take place on 28-29 April 2026 in the lower ground floor seminar rooms at the Institute of Criminology.

We are currently calling for abstracts from PhD students from any institution, and at any stage of their research, in response to this theme. Abstracts may deal with empirical, theoretical or methodological lines of inquiry as well as the implications of research on policy and practice. Please share with students and colleagues far and wide!

Abstracts should be no longer than 250 words and the deadline for submissions is 16 March. Abstracts should be submitted through the link in the poster or on our website: https://sites.google.com/view/phdcrimconferencecambridge
