About
Daniel is a Mexican criminal lawyer and criminologist, he studied for his LLB, specializing in human rights and criminal law at the University of Guadalajara; he graduated in 2020.
He then pursued a MPhil in Criminological Research at the Institute of Criminology (University of Cambridge) graduating with distinction in 2023.
Over several years Daniel has gained professional experience in the public sector in Mexico, having worked as a clerk for a federal district criminal court of the Mexican federal judiciary and as an advisor at his state's local congress. He has also worked as a lawyer in the private sector.
Research
Daniel's academic interests are criminal justice systems, crime policy, discourse analysis, organized crime, and drug trafficking
