Andrea is currently pursuing her PhD under the guidance of Professor Manuel Eisner, focusing on the dynamics behind decision-making processes and endorsement of violence and vengeance. Her research explores how factors such as reputational harm and honour-related values influence aggressive thoughts and behaviours. Additionally, she investigates reactive behaviours through simulations in virtual reality environments.
She holds a BA in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and an MPhil in Criminological Research from the University of Cambridge. Her research interests are centred on interpersonal violence, retaliatory aggression, negative reciprocity, and self-image concerns.
