Biography

I completed my undergraduate in Criminology and Criminal Justice at De Montfort University in Leicester. I then began working for the Youth Justice Team and have completed the rest of my studies part-time, alongside this role. I gained my master’s in criminology at Anglia Ruskin University. My thesis was titled: ‘Road Life: A road to where? A critical analysis of ‘road life as a key driver for serious youth violence and drug-dealing across the UK’. I received a distinction for my dissertation and have since been invited back to the university to speak about my research at conferences and lectures.

My PhD will explore this concept further, looking to understand the experience of young people through language they have created.

Thesis Title: Understanding Road Life: A critical analysis of serious youth violence and drug-dealing
