Institute of Criminology
Daniel is a Data Scientist within the National Crime Agency’s National Cyber Crime Unit (NCCU) and has experience in machine learning model development, deep learning, image and social network analysis and explainable AI.
He holds an MPhys degree in Physics with Astrophysics and an MSc degree in Biomedical Imaging both from the University of Kent along with an MSc in Medical Physics from Kings College London.
Following periods within the pharmaceutical industry and the NHS Daniel now works within law enforcement where his interests include natural language processing, authorship analysis, linguistics and discourse analysis of users of cybercrime forums.
Daniel is a part-time student and his provisional PhD thesis is, “Predicting Cybercrime Pathways: A Textual Analysis.”
