Charles Lanfear is an Assistant Professor and received his PhD in Sociology at the University of Washington. His research focuses on how community structures and processes impact crime, victimization, and social control. He approaches this topic with methods from causal inference, demography, and computational social science. He also teaches courses and workshops on programming for data analysis with R.
