Institute of Criminology
Alyssa holds an MPhil in Criminological Research from the University of Cambridge and a BA in Criminology and Psychology from Florida State University (USA). She previously worked as a Research Assistant on the Illegal Governance project within the Violence Research Centre.
In October 2019, Alyssa began her PhD at the Institute of Criminology under the supervision of Dr Paolo Campana.
Alyssa’s research interests centre around youth violence and inequality, with a specific focus on weapon-facilitated violence. Her PhD research, funded by the Harding Distinguished Postgraduate Scholars Programme, is a qualitative study of young people’s experiences with and desistance from weapon carrying across rural and urban England.
