APPLICATIONS TO VISIT THE INSTITUTE OF CRIMINOLOGY
Due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 restrictions, and the uncertainty as to when the Institute of Criminology building will be fully functioning again (so that we will be in a position to welcome visitors safely to the building); we are not currently accepting any new applications from academics and students wishing to visit the Institute.
We very much regret this situation.
Please do stay in touch with us though, and if you wish to visit the Institute in the future you can contact Faith Payne (PA to the Director) in the Director's Office for further advice: crimvisitors@crim.cam.ac.uk

Visiting Students
The Institute occasionally accepts Ph.D. students for short visits if an academic staff member is willing to act in a supervisory capacity for the duration of their visit. It should be emphasised that the acceptance of visiting students is rare, and is dependent upon the support of the academic host.
Application and approval process |
Before making an application prospective visiting students should be in contact with their potential academic host. If this is not the case, the prospective student should review the Institute's academic staff profiles and approach the most appropriate person. If they are happy to host them you should supply them with:
A prospective visiting student's academic host will then notify the Director's Office of the application and forward the information requested above. The application and related paperwork will be reviewed by the Director. The Director's Office will then notify the applicant whether their application has been successful or not, and if approved will begin practical preparations for their visit. |
