Black Lives Matter

last modified Jun 15, 2020 09:59 AM
The tragedy of the killing of unarmed George Floyd by the police in Minneapolis has reminded us all too painfully that Black Lives Matter, not only in America, but here in Cambridge too.

We share the Vice-Chancellor’s concern (https://www.cam.ac.uk/notices/news/message-from-professor-stephen-j-toope-vice-chancellor), and wish to stand in solidarity with all those who know that we must strive to do better in future to promote justice and equality.   The Institute of Criminology aims to show respect for all, and values diversity.   We welcome international students and visitors.  This said, we will be reviewing any additional action or support that might be needed to take systemic racism seriously, in what we study, research or teach, and in how we work together in our daily lives within the Institute and in the University.
