We are pleased to report that the US National Academies of Sciences have invited Professor Lawrence Sherman to chair an 18 month project: Evidence to Advance Reform in the Global Security and Justice Sectors, on global security benefits of training and consultation to enhance police fairness and effectiveness.
This committee was formed at the request of the US Department of State.
Dr Justice Tankebe will also serve as a member of this committee as will a recent Cambridge Criminology graduate, Beatriz Abizanda (currently working on crime prevention projects with the IADB in Montevideo); and Dr Peter Neyroud will draft the first five papers for the committee reports.
