last modified Jul 11, 2019 08:48 AM
We were delighted to welcome Professor Ann Skelton to the Institute on Wednesday July 10th. Ann holds the UNESCO Chair in Education Law in Africa at the University of Pretoria and is a member of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child.

Ann is also an International Ambassador for the British Society of Criminology: https://www.britsoccrim.org/whos-who/international-ambassadors/. Ann gave a fascinating talk on the UN Global Study on Children Deprived of Liberty, describing the challenges of mapping the scale and conditions of children deprived of liberty and discussing early findings ahead of the study report to be published in October this year.
