Tiffany Bergin - Biography

Tiffany Bergin was born in Hong Kong and grew up in the United States. She received her MPhil in Criminological Research from Cambridge and her BA (with highest honours) from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.

Her research aims to answer the question: why do some criminal justice public policies spread rapidly across regions or countries, while other policies never take hold? Her PhD dissertation uses event history analysis to examine the political, economic, cultural and other factors that were associated with the spread of correctional boot camps throughout US states during the past three decades.
