How does culture influence crime in societies?

This is the question that will be examined in my dissertation research exploring the cities of Seattle (Washington USA), London (England, UK), and Kyoto (Japan). To simply put it, I will explore collectivist and individualist characteristics in each city and assess its impact on self-reported delinquency. My research interests reflect my background in cross-cultural psychology and criminology.
