Ph.D. Topic
My Ph.D. research focuses on the differential effects of imprisonment. In particular, I look at prisoners’ psychological adjustment and their expectations for the future. To investigate this topic, I conducted semi-structured interviews with male and female prisoners in England. Participants also completed a set of questionnaires. I will compare and evaluate the different methods of data collection, in order to make recommendations for future research. My project is supervised by Dr Adrian Grounds.
