Dr Müller-Johnson's research interests include legal and eyewitness psychology, forensic interviewing, victimology, vulnerable participants in the legal system and crimes against the elderly. Her current research focuses on older persons as eyewitnesses to, or victims of, crime.
The main part of this research aims to maximize the quality of older persons' eyewitness accounts through improving forensic interviewing. In a separate series of studies she is investigating the perceived credibility of older eyewitnesses. Previous work has been on the prosecution of child sexual abuse and on domestic violence.
